Brac is the largest island in Dalmatia, situated in the Adriatic sea just off the coast of Split. With rolling hills, isolated bays and clear waters, Brac is similar to its well-known neighbour Hvar for its idyllic qualities and is also the highest Adriatic island at 778 metres. The 2 largest towns (Bol and Supetar) are the main transportation hubs for getting to and from the island.

Things to do in Brac

Due to its vast amount of private coves and pebble beaches, exploring these is one of the island’s main attractions and in almost every place it is possible to rent cars, scooters and also quads to do so. Diving, kitesurfing and windsurfing are all popular activities and can be regularly found around the coastline. Eating in Brac

With its historical heritage and folk culture, local restaurants and traditional tavernas are aplenty in Brac. Be sure to try the local lamb dishes and also the famous Brac cheese which is revered as the best in the whole Adriatic by many Croatians.
